Ann Doyle

Ann has been a member of the Port Macquarie urology team since 2001. She graduated from general nursing in 1984, midwifery in 1987 and undertook studies in neonatal intensive care 1988 and completed her continence certificate in 2000.

As the urology service grows Ann has expanded her nursing role in both knowledge and skills and finds it most interesting and challenging. Her particular interests are in the areas of continence management for adults and children, erectile dysfunction as well as prostate disease and bladder cancer. In recent years Ann has been involved in clinical research and also in nurse education through our local Jim Bruce urology trust.

Working within a team that delivers a professional high standard of care is important to Ann’s work ethic. She is constantly impressed by the care, compassion and respect everyone is shown from the time they walk through the door to the time they leave.

The Urology Centre has an internal philosophy that our friendly, energetic, conscientious and organized manner contributes to the smooth running and high level of morale at our centre that overflows to those receiving our urology services. This is especially important as this area of health can be embarrassing and debilitating. It is important our clients know that there is someone as their advocate for treatment, information and as a resource.

On a personal note Ann is happily married to Martin and they have three wonderful grown children Madeleine, Oliver and Sarah. Spare time is enthusiastically spent with her extended family and anything in the outdoors from camping, water skiing, playing touch football and beaching.
